we went camping in the peak district at a very wonderful campsite ooooo three weeks ago. i know a very belated post, but they have in general been lacking of late. we had a really lovely one-night camping trip near longnor village. we lucked out with some really sunny and warm weather and went to my very favourite little town in the peaks, bakewell.
i love bakewell because of it's picturesque setting, little river, many pubs and general 'englishness.' on this very lucky saturday we also went to the farmer's market, craft market and discovered a very, very good whisky shop called 'the wee dram.' i can see more trips to bakewell in our future.
